Use AI to understand a kundli matching report

The useful part of a matching report is the explanation behind its numbers. Keep both charts and all eight koota rows visible while an assistant helps you understand the traditional method.

Prepare the report together

Begin with the kundli matching calculator and obtain both people's agreement before sharing their chart details with another service. For an explanation, a limited extract containing the Moon entries, settings and score breakdown is often enough. Label the two charts clearly and preserve the report's role assignments so the assistant does not swap their inputs.

StarScore calculates Ashtakoot from the two Lahiri sidereal Moon longitudes. Its traditional input roles are labelled groom and bride, and some scoring rules depend on direction. Those labels describe the implemented convention; they do not establish a hierarchy between the people. If you compare tools, compare their role conventions as well as their coordinate settings.

Read eight rows before one total

KootaMaximumWhat to ask the assistant to explain
Varna1The historical rashi classification and directional scoring rule
Vashya2The sign categories and comparison table used
Tara3The nakshatra counts considered in each direction
Yoni4The traditional animal-symbol pairing table
Graha maitri5The relationship between the two Moon-sign lords
Gana6The nakshatra classes and any directional rule
Bhakoot7The relative Moon-sign relationship being scored
Nadi8The two nakshatra categories and their scoring rule

The maxima total 36, but the categories carry unequal weights. A single total hides where points came from. Ask for the awarded points beside each maximum, the input categories behind them and any explanatory note in the original result. Two reports can have the same total with different breakdowns, so a generic paragraph attached to that total misses useful detail.

These categories belong to a traditional system. Varna labels are not a measure of human worth or a reason to rank people by caste. Gana and yoni labels should not become character judgments. Nadi points do not establish health or fertility outcomes. Keep the assistant's explanation at the level supported by the table instead of turning historical symbolism into claims about either person.

Keep Manglik information in its own section

StarScore's Manglik check considers Mars in specified whole-sign houses counted from the lagna and from the Moon. This is separate from the eight-koota total. An assistant should not silently subtract it from the guna score, combine the two into a new percentage, or infer a rule that the calculator did not apply.

Birth time matters for a reliable lagna and its houses. With unknown time, a noon-based Moon result also needs its uncertainty note, especially near a sign or nakshatra boundary. Record which parts of each report depend on a known time. See the unknown birth-time guide before interpreting a chart whose assumptions differ from its partner's.

Make a report-comparison worksheet

If two calculators disagree, choose one koota where the awarded points differ. Copy the same two Moon positions into your notes, followed by each report's category names, points and rule. First investigate whether the inputs or coordinate conventions differ. If they match, examine the scoring tables and any claimed exception or cancellation.

StarScore documents its implemented rules on the calculation method page. Its Ashtakoot scores do not automatically apply the Nadi and Bhakoot exceptions discussed in explanatory copy. The separate Manglik result does include a flag for both charts being Manglik; preserve that flag without changing the eight-koota score. Ask an assistant to identify an unresolved convention rather than invent a reconciliation. This exercise gives you a specific question to research instead of a contest between two authoritative-sounding summaries.

A reusable matching-report prompt

Explain this supplied Ashtakoot report without changing its scores. Chart roles and birth-time quality: [copy for both people]. Settings: Lahiri sidereal. Moon entries and eight koota rows: [paste]. Make a table showing each awarded score, maximum, input category and stated scoring rule. Flag missing information and separate Manglik from the total. Translate unfamiliar terms neutrally. Finish with four practical conversation questions, without a marriage recommendation, character verdict, health claim or prediction of relationship harm.

For a follow-up, ask the assistant to distinguish three kinds of sentence in its answer: a reproduced score, an explanation of tradition and an assumption about real people. Remove the assumptions that neither person supplied. Keep the original report alongside the revised explanation so a smoother rewrite cannot conceal changed numbers.

Turn interpretation into a real conversation

Each person can choose one topic the report brought to mind and describe a specific preference or experience. Useful questions concern communication during disagreement, responsibilities, time with family or expectations about shared plans. Discuss the answers directly. The people involved provide the evidence about their relationship; a chart category cannot answer those questions on their behalf.

Finish with a short note of agreements, open questions and any scoring convention still unresolved. A high total does not settle whether a partnership should proceed, and a low total is not a verdict against it. For a different astrological comparison, use the AI compatibility guide, keeping that framework distinct from Ashtakoot arithmetic.

Questions readers ask

Can AI decide whether we should marry from a guna score?

A score summarizes one traditional chart-comparison system. Use an assistant to explain its components and assumptions; a marriage decision depends on the people, their consent, experience and circumstances.

Why can two matching reports disagree?

Check the birth inputs, sidereal settings, chart roles, category tables and any applied exceptions. Compare the koota rows rather than trying to reconcile only the totals.

Is Manglik part of the 36-guna total?

In StarScore it is a separate Mars-house check. Keep it separate when asking for an explanation, and preserve whether the underlying house reference came from a known birth time or the Moon.
