Antardasha 6 of 9 in Jupiter mahadasha · 9 mo 18 d
Jupiter-Sun antardasha गुरु-सूर्य अंतर्दशा
Jupiter-Sun lasts about nine months and eighteen days. Jupiter and the Sun are mutual friends, and tradition reads the pairing as authority guided by wisdom. Recognition from government or institutions, promotion, matters concerning the father, and religious or ceremonial responsibility are classical themes. Health and confidence improve. The caution is pride dressed as principle. Short but usually favourable, and often a time of formal honour or new responsibility.

The mahadasha behind it
Jupiter mahadasha is a sixteen year period that tradition associates with wisdom, children, teachers, faith, and rightful gain. After the complicated Rahu period it usually feels like a return to firm ground. Classical texts read a well-placed Jupiter as one of the most fortunate dashas, bringing growth in family, learning, and respect, while a debilitated or afflicted Jupiter brings over-confidence and disappointment in those same areas. What Sun adds as sub-lord
Sun mahadasha is a short six year period that tradition links with authority, visibility, the father, and one's standing in the world. After the long and comfortable Venus period it feels brisk and demanding, with fewer indulgences and more responsibility. Classical texts read a strong Sun as bringing status and clarity of purpose, and a weak Sun as bringing ego friction and setbacks with superiors. As an antardasha lord it colours the mahadasha's agenda rather than replacing it: the houses Sun owns and occupies in the birth chart become the stage for Jupiter's themes for 9 mo 18 d. See Sun as a mahadasha.
How the length is computed
Jupiter runs 16 years and Sun runs 6 years in the 120-year cycle, so Jupiter-Sun lasts 16 × 6 ÷ 120 = 0.800 years, about 9 mo 18 d. The exact calendar boundaries depend on the Moon's degree at birth; the free kundli lists them.
